Let's go back, right to the beginning. The first ever episode of Buffy - Welcome to the Hellmouth - which introduced us to the incredible cast, monsters, and storylines that would unravel over the next seven seasons.

Buffy's first day of school isn't going as planned. She's already got herself a new watcher, the school has a vampire problem, and now she's trapped in a mausoleum with vampires who want to chow down on her two new besties, Willow Rosenberg and Xander Harris. All she wanted was to be a normal high school girl. Thankfully for us viewers, she learns at this moment that that's not going to be happening.

We have our first ever fight as well as Buffy's first proper quip towards the evil undead bloodsuckers. Taunting them with her skills as a Slayer, "Now, we can do this the hard way or... Well, actually, there's just the hard way."

Darla, one of the vampires, retaliates with, "That's fine by me", to which we get more Buffy sarcasm with, "Are you sure? Now, this is not gonna be pretty. We're talking violence, strong language, adult content."

This is quickly followed by Buffy staking one of the vampires and them exploding into dust right before our eyes. Buffy then takes on Darla, taking her down with finesse and ease. We as the viewer finally know what we are going to be in store for if we stick with this show. Badass action and an even more badass protagonist.
