Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Most Underused Characters

4. Willy The Snitch

Sunday Buffy
Mutant Enemy

Willy the Snitch first appeared in the second season, and had brief roles in both seasons three and four. He ran a bar - Willy's Place - which catered to the vampires and demons of Sunnydale, giving him an all-access pass to the various supernatural goings-on around town.

With his social awkwardness and pathetic selfishness, Willy was funny to watch during his brief stint on the show, but his link to the demon underworld made him a great opportunity for worldbuilding. He (often unwillingly) helped Buffy and the gang out a bunch of times, and could easily have stuck around for a while longer to add some more depth to the show.

He could, for example, have continued to help them out, and maybe have played a role in Spike's days as a vampire unable to hurt people, wallowing in self-pity and playing kitten poker. But he simply disappeared after season four, and despite being mentioned a few more times, was never seen again.

What a shame.
