Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Worst Characters Who Appeared After Season One

8. Kennedy

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Veruca
Mutant Enemy

Kennedy is another character who tends to get more hate than she really deserves. As a Potential Slayer, she turns up in the final season and strikes up a relationship with Willow.

The trouble is that the Willow-Tara relationship was perfect in the previous three seasons, and as such, Willow's new romance is a significant downgrade. Kennedy is just forgettable when compared with Tara. If she wasn't a Potential Slayer, her character would be devoid of intrigue.

What's more, their relationship comes too soon after Tara's death. It would have been more realistic if Willow had remained single until the very end of Season 7 due to the traumatic fallout of Tara's death. Whilst the writers do explore this theme in 'The Killer in Me', the Willow-Kennedy romance is way too abrupt.

Still, Kennedy is nowhere near as bad as some people make her out to be. Her romance with Willow is a little mundane, but it's far from terrible.
