Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Worst Characters Who Appeared After Season One

7. Sineya

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Veruca
20th Century Fox Television

Sineya was chosen to be the original Slayer back in the prehistoric age. First introduced in the Season 4 finale, she crops up several times throughout the show, often within some kind of dream or vision.

The issue here is that Sineya isn't an easy character to warm to. Though she does speak English every now and then, she spends most of her time giving Buffy intimidating stares. Far from being impressive, these moments are almost laughable.

Linguistically speaking, it wouldn't have been historically accurate if the two Slayers had lengthy conversations in modern English, but it would have been more enjoyable than prolonged stares.

Ultimately, Sineya isn't given enough depth for the audience to care about her. With the possible exception of her very first appearance in 'Restless', this character simply fails to be interesting.
