Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Worst Things Spike Ever Did
4. The Buffybot
With his rock star aesthetic and penchant for cutting one liners, Spike is probably the single coolest character in Buffy history - but every now and then he goes and does something that very much punctures his aura. Perhaps the most extreme example: commissioning an incredibly lifelike animatronic sex robot version of Buffy to tend to his every whim.
The Buffyboy is a creation of resident science creep Warren Mears, who parlayed his own history of building robots based on women he was obsessed with into a cottage industry. We’re then treated to a fairly graphic idea of how the lovesick Spike would like to be spending his days: he play fights with the robotic slayer, before transitioning into another physical activity.
Needless to say, when he’s eventually caught in the act by the gang, Spike’s latest act of deviancy doesn’t go down at all well. Buffy in particular is revolted by the whole set up, though a sequence of events leads to the slayer seeing just how devoted Spike really is to her. Luckily, Buffybot only has a prominent role in one episode - it’s pretty gross.
