Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Worst Things Xander Ever Did

One of Xander's worst acts throughout the series is abandoning Anya at the altar at the end of season six, but we'll get to that later. For now, we're dealing with the aftermath of that sad event.

Following her abandonment by Xander, Anya has her Vengeance Demon abilities restored so she can seek revenge for having her heart broken at his hands. Unable to curse him herself, and with Xander's friends refusing to make a wish against him, she seeks out Spike instead.

Spike is equally heartbroken over Buffy at the time, and as he and Anya talk, one thing leads to another, with the pair eventually sleeping together.

When Xander finds out, he is furious, expressing disgust with Anya for what she has done, and is equally cruel towards Buffy when he learns she, until recently, had also been sleeping with Spike.

Xander is unwilling to accept that he can take at least a little of the blame for both scenarios. He won't listen to the fact that Anya was heartbroken, or that Buffy was struggling badly after her resurrection. He simply shames both women as a way of absolving himself from blame, and only succeeds in hurting Anya further.
