Willow Rosenberg is one of the most beloved characters in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. With her sweet personality, witty humour, and firm moral compass, it’s hard not to like Willow.

Due to her intelligence and magical skills, Willow is a central protagonist throughout all seven seasons. Aside from her brief descent into villainy at the end of Season 6, she uses her powers to fight the forces of evil and protect her friends.

Vampire Willow, on the other hand, is essentially – though not entirely – Willow’s opposite. She appears in two classic episodes: ‘The Wish’ and ‘Doppelgangland’. In both episodes, Vampire Willow is notably different from the original Willow. She has a lust for violence and cares only for her fellow vampires.

Unsurprisingly, their dialogue is distinctly different – but it’s not that simple. In ‘Doppelgangland’, the real Willow impersonates her vampire alter ego and vice versa, and as such, knowing who said which line is trickier than you might think. Even hardcore Buffy fans will need to think hard when answering these questions.
