15. The Master
The Master was Buffy the Vampire Slayer's first big bad, and his death was made satisfying by the fact that it came about after he was sure he had already won.
Having just killed Buffy, the Master was ready to open the Hellmouth when the Slayer shocked him by, y'know, still being alive. They had a short tussle, with Buffy kicking him off the school roof and impaling him in the library.
A great debut villain, the Master was Buffy's first major kill on the show, and though the death wasn't as spectacular as others on this list, it was still a great moment for the series' early days.
