Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Ranking Every Major Death Worst To Best

Certainly the most entertaining of Buffy's main villains, Mayor Wilkins was a breath of fresh air away from the show's usual vampire and gnarly monster antagonists. Polite, sharply dressed, intelligent and wholesome, he was all told an ancient demon who had sold his soul and planned to become a pure demon in a ritual known as the Ascension.

Though Mayor Wilkins managed to go through with his plan, killing numerous Sunnydale High students and Principal Snyder in the final battle of Season Three, he was led into a trap by Buffy which saw him - along with the rest of the school - blown up by Giles.

An epic end to an epic character, Wilkins' death was made all the better by his final exclamation - "Well, gosh" - when he realised he was about to die.
