Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Ranking Every Major Death Worst To Best

Buffy Summers' first death was quite a tragic event, and one which had been prophesised long before it happened. In her stand-off with the Master, the ancient vampire fed off Buffy and left her to drown. By the time Xander and Angel had gotten to her, our titular Slayer was already dead.

Though she was eventually brought back by a love-lorn Xander, Buffy's death nonetheless did an excellent job of developing the then-16-year-old lead character. Not only was Buffy just a normal teenager who wants to do normal teenager-y things, she's also a straight-up hero willing to leap into battle, regardless of what will happen to her.

With her death, Buffy proved to be one of TV's best ever protagonists, even if it was slightly worrying to see at the time.
