Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Ranking The Songs In Once More With Feeling

11. Coda

A reprise of two earlier songs, this is a number that is both short and tense. Although it is brief, it makes it onto this list for character development and plot alone. As the rest of the gang sing one last song inside, Buffy confronts Spike outside and the two finally face each other and their feelings.

Closing on a kiss, the number also captures the essence of the musical. The two leads kiss, the screen screams "The End", fades to black, and the credits begin to roll.

It's a cliche, but then so is the whole episode. It's meant to be. The main reason this number deserves this ranking is because it's regarded by many as the true beginning of the Spuffy craze fans have been debating about for years.

Even if Spike isn't your fit for Buffy, the shock and beauty of this moment cannot be denied, and it deserves its place on this list.
