Casting HBO's Green Lantern Corps

For someone so relatively new to working in acting, John David Washington has been able to demonstrate his talent in some major projects.

BlackkKlansman is the most obvious one of these, a film in which he played a very determined and straight-laced cop. How does this relate to John Stewart though? Well, the character fits this archetype too, meaning that Washington's talents would be put to good use in portraying the Lantern.

Factor in his build, appearance and killer beard (a feature that Stewart sometimes has) along with his obvious skill in the craft and there are the makings of a wonderful depiction of the character.

The only problem people may have is Washington's voice, yet the rest of the performance beggars overlooking this tiny element.
