Castlevania Final Season Review: 6 Ups And 3 Downs
6. Up: "You Don't Deserve My Blood"
Even if it is a shame that Styria never connected by to the main narrative, that storyline and surrounding characters still went out with a bang with a whole episode dedicated to the climatic clash between Isaac and his Night Creatures and the forces of Carmella's castle.
There will be a great deal of debate about what is the single best episode of this show and You Don't Deserve My Blood will be brought up regularly. The long awaited reunion of Isaac and Hector against the backdrop of an assault of Isaac's monsters is one of the most exceptional half hours the show has ever produced.
Carmella gets a chance to shine as the deadly warrior she is and the final showdown between the two sides comes to a head in a visually extraordinary sequence.
It's true that individuals like Striga and Morana could have been utilised slightly better in this conflict (although Striga does get a visceral set piece a few episodes earlier) but everyone else receives a huge amount of time and consideration in this episode.
Everything here is a sight to behold and it is worthy of its own entry on this list.
