Castlevania Final Season Review: 6 Ups And 3 Downs
2. Up: The Phenomenal Action
Whether it be Dracula's last stand or the onslaught from the Infinite Corridor, Castlevania has always had some bonkers action set pieces that have provided incredible entertainment value. It is no secret that animation is presented with a freedom that constrains live action fight scenes and Castlevania has always ran with that freedom.
If there is one clear example of the show's final season wanting to step up and outdo its previous entries, the action would be it. It is truly impressive that the show can still find brand new ways to make Trevor, Sypha and Alucard's action scenes feel different with each new clash.
But, it isn't just them that get to shine this season. Carmella, Isaac, Striga, Ratko, and more are all given excellent moments to show off their unique fighting styles in Season Four.
The season is high octane and fast paced and is moved forward by the action scenes that are enriched in how character centric they all are. It never feels like it is just a fight for the sake of it, every clash from a one on one scrap to two armies battling feels necessary and earned.
Season Four outdoes itself with several simply flawless fight sequences that are some of the best action ever animated for a show.
