Castlevania Season 3: 11 Reasons You Should Watch

9. The Episodic Story

For how epic the season turned out, in comparison to the first two seasons, this felt a lot like a particularly intriguing set of side missions in a game more than its biggest conflict - which isn't a bad thing.

The story with Sypha and Trevor started and ended in Lindenfeld, with elements of it leading into much larger implications for their world. We knew from the beginning that hell was a tangible place from which night creatures hailed, but Season 3 solidified how many strange places exist outside of their plane, making for the perfect setup for future events in the story.

Many of the things fans expected to see from the end of Season 2 weren't resolved in Season 3, but few can claim to be disappointed by this, with an even bigger buildup and character development leading to higher and higher stakes. Characters fans already liked in season 2 have since become fan favourites, with new characters being given the opportunity to shine.

Though it isn't likely to become a monster of the week like other shows, having these characters face threats and problems that flesh out their world gets more appealing with every passing season.
