Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Review: 5 Ups & 4 Downs
1. The Annoyingly Blurry Cinematography
It's extremely frustrating that this show has clearly been assembled with a ton of attention-to-detail in terms of its general production design, and yet, the cinematography is wilfully blurry so much of the time.
The decision to make the edges of the frame constantly out-of-focus is obviously an intentional stylistic choice, but it quickly becomes tiresome, especially if you're watching the show on a 4K display and were hoping for an eye-searing level of clarity.
It just feels like a bit of a waste, honestly, and though many fans have already been complaining about it on social media, it's clearly too late for season two to change tack considering it's already been shooting for months.
So, the show certainly has its issues, but it's also solidly enjoyable if you can accept these gripes. Here's everything Chilling Adventures of Sabrina nails...
