Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Review: 5 Ups & 4 Downs

3. The Killer Supporting Cast

The ensemble cast for this thing is off-the-chain brilliant, giving Shipka all the support she needs.

Particularly fantastic are Lucy Davis as Sabrina's kindly Aunt Hilda, and Miranda Otto as her icier Aunt Zelda, holding their own terrifically against the beloved 90s portrayals by Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick respectively.

Also excellent are Michelle Gomez as Sabrina's Machiavellian teacher Mary Wardwell and especially Richard Coyle as the scheming Father Blackwood, both helping ground the show with their ferocious performances in even its sillier and less-convincing moments.

Nobody's phoning their work in here, and from young up-and-comers to card-carrying vets, there's not a spot of bad acting among the bunch. With a huge ensemble roster like this, that's practically miraculous.
