Community: 10 Best Relationships

1. Troy And Abed

Community Shirley Anthropology

In Community there are a few foundations that are built on solid rock, a set of rules the world adheres to, but the most sacred amongst these is that no romances, school dance or any other other circumstance could invade the bromance shared by these star-crossed brothers.

Although one begins life in Greendale as a banally hardheaded, stereotypical jock and the other is a complete and utter social outcast in every regard of the phrase, the barrier quickly breaks down. As we observe Troy and Abed progressively interact with one another and their subsequent antics, it becomes evident that Troy's inhibited personality blossoms through knowing and growing with Abed. In the same way that Abed, once perceived to be a loner that couldn't fit into the fray, has his best qualities exhibited through becoming Troy's right hand boy.

Besides being the heart of the show and the glue that hold the group together (it's not Jeff, just watch season 5's Geothermal Escapism and then evaluate the series in the aftermath if you have any disputes), Troy Barnes and Abed Nadir are one of television's most endearing pairs. The veracity of love, commonality, companionship and nerd-driven fetishism makes Troy and Abed a duo to be reckoned with and one that future writers should be beckoned to follow.
