Community: 10 Best Relationships

2. Jeff and Annie

Community Shirley Anthropology
NBC

If Community was the typical sitcom - and believe us, it's not - the final episode, or season at least, would see Jeff and Annie becoming a pair fated to spend the rest of eternity together in a fantasy land of happily ever afters. In this show the two lock lips, but never hips. They make goo-goo eyes and even fantasise. Yet, they never come together or become entangled in a destined romance.

Even though the show doesn't deliver on the painfully tiresome and archaic prospect that is expected of the medium, the relationship still carves itself a very coveted second place in this list because of the sheer chemistry, unrequited love and existential respect the two have for one another.

Though the "Annie of it all" doesn't come to fruition by the end of it all, their relationship is an anomaly, as Jeff originally has no interest in Annie sexually or even personally. Then the two unexpectedly take the reins from the Jeff and Britta prospect and the show suddenly divulges into something as original as it was beautiful, weaving a narrative between two people who should have no business with one another but seem to be the most organic pairing, bar one.
