Community: Each Character's Hogwarts House

6. Troy - Hufflepuff

Troy Community
Sony Pictures Television

When we first meet Troy, he seems like a Gryffindor. He's confident - a little too much - and has serious big man on campus energy. However, as Troy, and Community itself, mature, we see him grow into more of a Hufflepuff.

Troy starts showing his kindness more, like when he and Abed invite Annie to live with them and they perform a sweet puppet show for her. His friendship with Abed also takes over his entire identity, to the point where it borders on codependency. Troy proves that he would follow Abed, and the rest of the study group, anywhere, supporting all of his crazy ideas and only challenging him once, resulting in an epic pillow war.

When Troy leaves, it's to rediscover himself as an individual and not just Abed's friend. Though Troy is more than just the first half of Troy and Abed in the Morning, his loyalty and kindness remain a huge part of his identity.
