Community: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best

Plenty of people will be disappointed to see Troy fall just shy of the top three, as he's one of the show's biggest fan-favourite characters. It's easy to see why, as his dorky personality, high energy and flawless performance from Donald Glover make him such a vital part of the Community puzzle. However, there are just enough cracks to bring him down a little when looking at his character objectively.

Comparing Troy's humble beginnings in the show to what he'd become is like night and day. He started as a run of the mill dumb jock character, but through his friendship with Abed, he began to come out of his shell. His character became such a fun presence, as his naivety was always so innocent/sweet, and his tendency to freak out over surprising things - like meeting his hero LeVar Burton - was eye-catching.

However, the main letdown for Troy comes from that which made him better, I.e. his friendship with Abed. While it did bring out a new side to the character and gave us one of the best bromances ever put to screen, Troy always felt like a second fiddle to him, which brings him down a little as he had less agency in the show's narrative.

He was a great Constable to Inspector Spacetime, but a Constable nonetheless.
