Life at Greendale can be pretty traumatic at times, but never has the school been so gripped with terror than when the Ass Crack Bandit made an unwelcome return.

Paying homage to Law & Order and other crime shows, this classic Season 5 episode was such a stark difference to the light-hearted show viewers were used to. A cold, unsettling blue filter is put on the entire episode as Greendale lost its warm, comforting charm that had nurtured its students for so long.

The school is no stranger to elaborate pranks, but as Garrett's blood-curdling scream echoed around the halls, you knew this was something much more sinister. A mysterious person is out there, haunting students. Someone who can seemingly travel the halls undetected, taking shortcuts where they need to in order to get their next victim.

The fear only got worse when Troy became a target. Troy was a perfect candidate, as he's already known for his emotional meltdowns, but the choice was more strategic than you realise. Cracking a member of the infamous study group was a message to everyone; it doesn't matter who you are, you are not safe and the bandit will get you.

There are plenty of theories about who exactly the ACB was, but unless the movie reveals their identity, we will never know...
