Community: Ranking Every Halloween Episode Worst To Best
1. Epidemiology
You know you're in for a good episode when the showrunner pays out of his own pocket to make sure Abba are the soundtrack to a zombie outbreak.
In a gaff truly fitting of Greendale, a great party goes completely insane after the free buffet turns out to be a little less than fresh. As a level seven susceptible, always on the search for a bargain, Dean Pelton decided to cater the party with food "fresh" from a military surplus store. The Dean's penny pinching would lead to disaster though, as it turns out the food was actually quarantined stock that was never supposed to be consumed.
Everyone who chowed down on the cheap meat became violently ill, presenting zombie-like symptoms and a taste for human flesh. One by one, the study group are bitten and succumb to the disease while the Dean waits outside, patiently for the army to arrive.
There is so much going on in this episode, from the running gag about Jeff's jacket, Chang and Shirley's costumes (and subsequent hook-up) and Troy's jokes as he desperately tries to get to the thermostat.
However, everything is so carefully intertwined that it never feels overwhelming. Instead viewers became completely engrossed in the chaos as Greendale experiences a night it will never remember.
