Community: The Worst Episode From Every Season

One again as the animated episode of the season, G.I. Jeff falls short. The episode follows Jeff and the study group as G.I. Joe characters in an animated adventure ultimately ending in Jeff waking up from a real-life coma. As a concept, it's a good idea. The animated episode takes form as a parody of a well known cartoon, but does little more than that.

As a story, it fell flat. It simply wasn't gripping or interesting, and serves little purpose past being a vehicle for the classic G.I. Joe animation style. The characters also feel like empty versions of themselves. Whether that be because the voice acting was stale, or because the script was off, it just doesn't work.

As an episode of Community, it's simply not an enjoyable watch. Much like the others on this list, the first time round it's nice to see the story unfold and learn a little bit about the characters, but upon a second viewing, G.I. Jeff is a slog to get through, and easily the lowest point of the show's fifth season.
