The Dean whose one-liners are breathtakingly hilarious; 'Pierce' whose performance of 'maraijuana' is mesmerising and
Senior Chang whose performance of 'marijuana' defies belief. Why this Episode is so Good I am aware that this episode may not be the top of everyone's list. It isn't satirizing a televisual trope or movie genre and it isn't a complex epic but it is, for me the funniest 23 odd minutes of television I've ever seen. Everyone is on top form. Alison Brie's Annie slowly goes mad as the performance day of her anti-drug show draws near. Pierce is at his scheming evil best as he bribes Annie to give him a better part; Troy, Britta and Jeff have their stoniest faces on as they work their way through some of Annie's appalling dialogue and Shirley is amusingly disgusted with Chang. Speaking of whom the mental professor is even crazier than usual, provoking a bunch of under-age thugs into thrashing him and the Dean is just the Dean. If you watch only one episode of Community in your life, watch this one and see how ingenious a television comedy can be.
