Community's Cast - Where Are They Now?
9. Jim Rash
Jim Rash’s Dean Craig Pelton might never have been part of the hallowed library table, but he was still many fans’ favourite character. Growing in stature as the seasons wore on, Community simply wouldn’t be the same without him.
His career highlight actually came when Community was still running, though it was away from Greendale; Rash won the Academy Award for Adapted Screenplay in 2012 for The Descendants.
His most notable live action role was probably in the Netflix original Girlboss, but Rash has mostly made a living off voice acting since Community wrapped. Family Guy, American Dad, Captain Underpants, Jake And The Neverland Pirates, Looney Tunes... the list goes on and on.
He’s worked with a lot of ex-Community stars too. In live action, he’s appeared in Ken Jeong’s Dr Ken, while voice wise he’s had guest roles in Dan Harmon’s Rick & Morty and with Danny Pudi in Ducktales.
Also, in what will quickly become a theme for former Community stars, Jim Rash also made a quick appearance in the MCU. In Captain America: Civil War (directed by the Russo Brothers), Rash appears as a very Dean Pelton like character at Tony Stark’s expo when he reveals BARF to the world.
