10. Ivy University, Eh...
At least before he (potentially) suffers that terrible fate, Ritchie gets to live the life of a tenured professor, lecturing in whatever Metaphysics is. You can see why, having finally overcome your crippling nightmares and guilt, that gaining a PhD and a respected position would be the sort of life you'd want to protect from the dangerous influence of John Constantine. Besides being a nice deal for the character, the institute he teaches at - Ivy University - also has a storied history in the DC comics. Located in the fictional locale of, well, Ivy Town, the appearance of the University ties Constantine further not only to the Vertigo universe (of which Sandman, Swamp Thing and Animal Man are all members) but also the wider DC universe. You might know him better as Atom, a scientist-turned-superhero with the ability to shrink to incredible sizes while retaining his full density. He can become a tiny badass, basically.
Tom Baker is the Comics Editor at WhatCulture! He's heard all the Doctor Who jokes, but not many about Randall and Hopkirk. He also blogs at http://communibearsilostate.wordpress.com/
