Oliver Queen, Green Arrow, Spectre; call him what you want, but from this moment forward he will forever be known as the hero that saved the multiverse.

As the first chapter in the Arrowverse's storied history comes to an end, it's rather fitting that its very first hero was the one to ensure that its legacy would survive that ending. Yes, the crossover might have been culmination of a five-year arc on The Flash, but it was also the culmination of Oliver's journey of heroism - one that was really taken to the next level during Arrow's final season.

Much like we'd seen throughout Season 8, Oliver took his responsibility as savior of the multiverse incredibly seriously, refusing to let even death stop him from saving it. Sure, the fact that he died twice did threaten to undercut the poignance of the second one (and limit his screen-time), but thanks to Stephen Amell's moving performance, that never happened.

The once-selfish billionaire-playboy-turned-vigilante had evolved into the greatest hero of them all - and that's the Oliver Queen that we'll always remember.

You really came through for everyone, Ollie. We'll miss you.
