Cursed Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs

Ups...

6. It's A Refreshingly Unique Arthurian Tale

If it certainly could've done much more to differentiate its core narrative from other fantasy shows, Cursed nevertheless deserves credit for offering up a creative remix of the Arthurian legends we're all incredibly familiar with.

While not all viewers will necessarily vibe with every adjustment made to the established lore, there's an appealingly playful quality to how the show switches up the expected, ensuring it stands far apart from so many other renditions of the material on screens both big and small.

Not merely a cynical attempt to Game of Thrones-ify the tale of King Arthur, Cursed is a testament to Frank Miller's knack for re-imagining classic texts through a wholly new lens, and should ensure it captures the attention of those craving some immersive new fantasy content.
