Cursed Review: 6 Ups & 4 Downs
5. Katherine Langford's Solid Performance
13 Reasons Why's Katherine Langford continues to build her cred in Hollywood with a compelling lead performance here which confirms she absolutely has what it takes to carry a high-concept, big-budget TV series.
Though as mentioned Nimue isn't the show's most original or immediately enticing of characters, Langford brings a sure authority to the part of a young woman desperately seeking her place in the world, while also craving revenge for those the Red Paladins have taken away from her.
If Frank Miller's goal with Cursed was to deliver a distaff twist on the King Arthur tale, than Langford is certainly the caliber actress to make it work, elevating the material even when it's at its most formulaic.
