6. Working In Ben Urich's Name
For all the strides Daredevil made in its first season, its biggest mistake was in killing off Ben Urich. It served a purpose in demonstrating Wilson Fisk's rage, but to eliminate such a prominent character so early on? It can only be called an error. That said, giving Karen Page a boatload to do in the season, carrying on the proverbial torch left behind by Ben, was wonderfully endearing. It not only paid homage to Urich's tenacious style of investigative journalism, but really helped differentiate Karen and give her an arc that the character sorely lacked to begin with. I was certainly pleased with the result, and her dedication to uncover the truth is a trait that captures the heart and soul of Nelson & Murdock right when we thought it had gone missing. Deborah Ann Woll's performance as Karen is as brilliant as ever, and no scene shows this better than the moment she's unceremoniously given Urich's old office space. Hints towards her chequered past soon follow, but one can only hope Karen's future continues to get brighter in the face of Fisk's inevitable release and vengeful proclamations.
