Daredevil Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen

7. More Classic Villains

Daredevil
Marvel Comics

Aside from Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin, Daredevil was pretty light in its use of The Man Without Fear's comic book rogues gallery. Two other villains did appear in minor roles, with Bob Gunton's slimy financial expert Leland Owlsley being a hugely reconfigured version of venerable adversary The Owl; and Melvin Potter, the designer of Fisk's armour and eventually Daredevil's red costume, is known in the comics as Gladiator, a villain who eventually reformed and became a staunch ally of Murdock.

However, there are plenty of other villains that fans would love to see on future seasons of the show, such as Typhoid Mary and Mr Fear.

Typhoid Mary (real name Mary Walker) suffers from dissociative personality disorder and has three distinct split personalities on top of her 'normal' self. 'Mary' is timid and quiet; Typhoid is lustful and violent; and Bloody Mary is brutal and sadistic. She has been a long-time enemy (and sometime lover) of Daredevil over the years, and the prospect of how the show would interpret her is definitely something to get excited about.

Mr Fear is an identity used by several people in Marvel Comics history and could be unfairly looked upon as a rip-off of DC's Scarecrow. But probably the most famed version of Mr Fear is Larry Cranston, a compelling character in his own right. A law-school classmate of Matt Murdock, he produced a drug that caused the user to become psychotic and unafraid of death. He gave this drug to Murdock's then-wife Milla Donovan, leaving her in a permanent state of psychosis, so he is certainly a villain to be reckoned with.
