5. Why Matt Murdock Gravitates Towards Elektra
One of the best Easter Eggs in the first season of Daredevil came when a flashback to Matt and Foggy's college days saw the latter mention the Greek girl his friend had been dating. Comic book fans instantly realised who he was referring to, and now Elektra will be making her presence felt in the series as G.I. Joe: Retaliation star Elodie Yung takes over the role of the expert assassin from the widely criticised Jennifer Garner. While little is still know about how she'll factor into the series, co-showrunner Doue Petrie did tease the dynamic between Matt and his former flame. "Matts a deeply moral complicated guy and shes just the best bad girlfriend you can possibly have. She does everything wrong and attractive, shes his id, the wild side. Matt is always taming his wild side. Elektra just lets it out. Hes both repulsed and deeply drawn to that." That sounds like a fascinating dynamic to explore, though Entertainment Weekly also confirmed that Matt and Karen Page will be getting closer in season two.
