Marvel and Netflix's original plan for The Defenders was for that to launch after one season of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. However, the success of Daredevil changed everything, and while the online streaming service has said they'll be releasing two shows a year at most, that's clearly going to have to change. The big question now though is whether they'll delay The Defenders for Daredevil season three. While some of Daredevil's unresolved plot threads could be addressed in The Defenders, if The Hand ends up being what that team assemble to square off against, it definitely feels like the ninja clan need to be fleshed out in another season of The Man Without Fear's show first. With Jessica Jones also pencilled in for a second season (which won't be coming this year because of Luke Cage), it's tough to say where Daredevil is going to fit in, especially as Iron Fist will likely be ready by this time next year. Daredevil has emerged as a clear fan-favourite on Netflix, so a two year wait isn't going to go down well with the majority of fans, that's for sure...
