9. Stick

Stick, Matt's old mentor and all-round martial arts expert/certified badass, only made a handful of appearances last year, but they were all memorable, in particular the intense fight scene between the pair. He's back here, but with a stark warning for his former pupil about the threats to come. In his last appearance in Season 1 he spoke about Matt Murdock, and how he had no idea if he'd be ready "when the doors open." Based on his voice here, and the danger it foretells, those doors may well now be opening, and Stick is back to make sure that Matt is indeed ready. With a new organisation in play, Stick may actually be needed a lot more this year, and seeing more of him in action - especially if it positions him as the leader of the Chaste and introduces other elements of his group from the comics - can only be a good thing.
