Daredevil Season 2 Trailer Breakdown: 26 Things You Need To See
6. They Stay Down
Just incase the ideological differences between Daredevil and the Punisher wasn't clear already, the trailer makes sure to spell it out, with Frank Castle telling Matt Murdock: "You hit 'em and they get back up. I hit 'em and they stay down." It's a good line, and one the perfectly showcases how brutally effective Castle is in his revenge mission, and just what he thinks the big problem of Daredevil's modus operandi is. Punisher and Daredevil have came into conflict on a few occasions in the comics, starting back with Frank Miller's run on the Man Without Fear, and the crossing of that line - or Murdock's refusal to - is generally what causes this conflict, and that's the route the show is going down here.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
