As was the case when Wilson Fisk was finally incarcerated in the comics, the Kingpin of Crime wasted no time at all in orchestrating his rise to the top in Daredevil Season 2. Vincent D'Onofrio's character has had plenty of time to contemplate his revenge, and if that scene from Season 2 is anything to go by, Foggy, Karen and the rest of Murdock's associates should be very worried indeed.
While it's not beyond comprehension that Fisk would be able to orchestrate Murdock's downfall from within the confines of his cell (he's done worse in the comics), it makes sense to bust the character out for this latest season. That doesn't necessarily call for a break out though, and with his connections being as good as they are, it's not unreasonable to suspect that Fisk will cheat the system and get back to his empire through legal and extra-legal means.
Interesting to note, perhaps, is Fisk's connection with Vanessa. Season 1 set the Kingpin's love for an escape to Europe, but with the villain set to break-out, a reunion could soon be on the cards.
In any case, don't expect to wait a while before Kingpin gets back onto the streets, and back to his menacing ways.
