Daredevil Season 3: 8 Things You Need To Know

5. Murdock's Back In Black

Love it or hate it, the black bandana costume inspired by Miller's The Man Without Fear is back. It's something of an odd move, given how Netflix managed to really nail Daredevil's red costume in Season 2 and in The Defenders, but it's possible this is meant to symbolise Matt's 'glutton for punishment' attitude, brought on either by Fisk himself, or potentially the climax of The Defenders' series finale.

Unfortunately, it's hard to shake the feeling that this is something of a step backwards. Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have all boasted comics-accurate looks (albeit in civilian gear, when it comes to the latter two), but since the introduction of Iron Fist it feels as though Marvel TV are dialling down their commitment to flashy superhero wardrobes; Danny Rand is almost always in civvies, and now DD has regressed to a look that was only introduced so as to make the red suit's introduction a momentous event.

There's still a chance that he could change looks once again (the black and red design from Charles Soule and Rob Garney's Daredevil featured above finds a nice middle ground), but for now, Matt's back in black fatigues, and it pales in comparison to the looks he's had before.
