Daredevil Season 3: 9 Reasons To Be Excited

Bullseye, Born Again, and more MCU crossovers?!

Daredevil Bullseye Karen 2
Marvel/Netflix

A lot has happened since Daredevil season 2 wrapped back in 2016. Netflix's Marvel universe has expanded rapidly, introducing a myriad of new heroes and villains, with Iron Fist, Luke Cage and even The Punisher debuting their own shows. Of course, Matt Murdock and co. haven't been completely absent from the action, showing up as a prominent part of The Defenders, with season 3 picking up with the hero presumed dead.

However, it's not only the in-narrative universe that's radically different, but also public opinion surrounding these shows in general. When Daredevil's last season finished, it was still considered one of the best superhero properties around, but it's returning in a climate that's tiring of the Netflix formula.

While the likes of Luke Cage and Jessica Jones' second years were a little underwhelming though, Daredevil is still Netflix's crown jewel, and there is reason to be excited for the show's grand return after two years off the air. With a new show-runner, a new villain and a great storyline ready to be adapted, season 3 could be the return to form for Marvel's TV world everyone has been craving.
