Daredevil Series 2 Reviews: 10 Early Reactions You Need To See

6. ...But Elodie Yung As Elektra Is Even Better

The second character to have been wronged in the past is Daredevil love interest, Elektra Natchios. Appearing in both the Daredevil film in 2003 and her own spin-off in 2005, Elektra she was always loved by comic book fans, but more than likely loathed by movie ones. On top of this, unlike Jon Bernthal's casting, the announcement of Elodie Yung playing Elektra was met with some protest, on the back of such eye-catching career moves as GI Joe: Retaliation. Despite the initial trepidation with her being cast in the role, it sounds as if she has done an excellent job bringing the character to life. Denofgeek has even gone as far as saying she 'is the character to watch'. All of the reviews agree that Elektra is a physical and psychological match for Daredevil and by the sounds of it this adds an element of playfulness, which was missing from the first series. The Nerd Repository sum it up best: 'Yung is visually ripped from the panels of a Frank Miller comic. She looks the part and plays it with confidence, seduction and dangerous intrigue.' A very wringing endorsement.
