7. Jon Bernthal Is Great As Frank Castle...
Since the announcement of The Punisher appearing in this series all anticipation has been directed at Jon Bernthal and whether we will finally get an accurate live action version of the character. A single line from Nerd Repository's review sums up what we had all hoped: 'Bernthal was born for this role'. Please, take this moment to breathe a sigh of relief. The Punisher has been failed three times by cinema now and so there was always a niggling fear that this would be the fourth slip-up. Thankfully it sounds like justice has finally been done. Not only is Bernthal described as 'terrific' by Denofgeek, but Variety describe the character as 'ruthlessly' mowing down criminals and that he 'dubs Daredevil a half-measure, a pansy who wont do whats necessary to wipe out the criminal element, which sounds like the show has nailed what makes the character tick. This is a performance I'm sure many are now even more excited to see.
