DC's Legends Of Tomorrow Season 2: 6 Ups And 4 Downs From 'Out Of Time'

3. The Handling Of Nate Heywood

Legends Of Tomorrow Season 2 Nate Heywood
The CW

The introduction to any soon-to-be major player in a show such as DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is hugely important - if bungled from the get-go, a newcomer can soon be seen as an afterthought by viewers – and Legends did a great job of bringing Dr. Nate Heywood into the fold in this season premiere.

In using the beloved Oliver Queen character as a tool to smoothly transition Nate into the general narrative of where things now are with our Legends, The CW handled this debut brilliantly and in a way that felt natural and seamless.

Added to this, we also saw that Doc Heywood has some serious smarts about him due to the fact that he’d easily deduced that Oliver Queen and the Green Arrow are one and the same. Of course, you’d think that most logical people would’ve pieced that together by now given how The Hood/Arrow/Green Arrow turned up at the same time that Ollie reappeared after 5 years of apparent death. Still, nobody else really has worked this out, marking Nate Heywood as smarter than the average bear where The CW is concerned.
