DC's Legends Of Tomorrow Season 1: 8 Ups And 5 Downs From 'Progeny'

10. "We Have Superpowers..."

Legends of Tomorrow Progeny
The CW

No, no you don’t.

Towards the end of Progeny, with various no-good sorts reigning their firepower down on the Waverider, it soon becomes apparent that the ship’s weapons systems have been taken out. Fear not, though, for these Legends have other means of stopping their foes.

After Ray Palmer quips “We don’t need weapons”, Martin Stein finishes off The Atom’s thought by proclaiming “He’s right, we have superpowers.” Only, a good portion of the team don’t hold any sort of superpowers whatsoever.

Sure, Stein and Jax can combine to become the nuclear-powered Firestorm, and you could say that Kendra has superpowers, even if those powers came from the Hawk God, but White Canary is a standard non-superpowered sort, Leonard Snart has no powers at all, Rip Hunter can travel back in time yet has no discernible superpowers, and Ray Palmer is a powerless being who happens to have some awesome technology at his disposal.

So yeah, the whole “We have superpowers” line was just a little too much here
