DC's Stargirl Season 1 Review: 10 Ups & 2 Downs

Downs...

2. The Occasional Plot Armour

Stargirl Brec Bassinger
DC Universe

Very few TV shows and films (if any) are immune to plot armour, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Stargirl occasionally suffers from it. Sure, it might be a superhero series in which we're expected to suspend our disbelief, but conveniences designed simply for the purpose of moving the plot along shouldn't always have to bend to that ideology.

The good news is that the writers hide it really well and as a result the show never completely falls into that trap. It's there, yes, but rarely and it's covered so well that you don't find yourself thinking about it afterwards.

Not a major issue because of how well it is dealt with, but you might find yourself asking a question they don't want to ask every once in a while.
