Dexter: 10 Most Hated Episodes Of All Time

4. "Dress Code" - Season 8, Episode 7

Borrowing one of the more unpopular characters from the previous season, "Dress Code" revisited the absurd relationship between Dexter and Hannah McKay. They found themselves intertwined again after McKay (now "Maggie") kidnapped Dexter... for reasons. In short, she wanted him to kill her husband because he was controlling. However, after sticking around to avoid being seen as a gold digger, she decided she actually loved him.

Oddly enough, McKay, who now loved her husband, ended up killing her husband. Dexter, who she wanted to help out and didn't want to help out, ended up helping by cleaning up the mess in the most conspicuous ways. Surely a bleach-stained carpet was less obvious than a blood-stained one.

In addition to the hodgepodge drama between the two serial killers (and a still grossly jealous Deb), there was also the promise of a protege plotline that never truly panned out. Dexter's new Robin was meant to be this angsty and impulsive character, who instead came off as flat-out annoying. He was abandoned, anyway, so fans could enjoy another complicated McKay tale that ultimately became a boondoggle later on.
