Since Dexter came to a close, Velez has only turned up in a handful of television roles in the past two years, including CBS' Unforgettable last year and the modern Sherlock Holmes series Elementary this past March. She's also a part of Eli Roth's new demon hunter series South of Hell, though a premiere date has yet to be set.

Beyond that, you can see her next year alongside Sons of Anarchy's Kim Coates in the film adaptation of Image Comics’ Officer Downe, the story of a cop who repeatedly returns from the dead to fight crime, which is being directed by Slipknot’s founding member Shawn Crahan.
