Dexter: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best

Miami Metro's over-sexed goofball of a forensic scientist typically serves as comic relief. How effective he is in this role is questionable with many of his Glenn Quagmire-like zingers failing to land. Obsessed with the kinkier side of life, he frequently (and almost always unsuccessfully) propositions just about every female he encounters. It's not an endearing quality and, as revealed by Quinn, is one that renders him unpopular in the work place.

A positive character trait for Vince is his surprisingly strong sense of loyalty to his colleagues. Seeing Dexter's wife Rita kiss another man, he is horrified and grapples with the stress of needing to tell Dexter. It's obvious the pain this reveal might cause Dexter scares Masuka who still works up the courage to tell his colleague the ugly truth.

One of many flaws with season 8 is Masuka's ultimately pointless subplot with his surprise daughter. Born from a sperm donation he gave years prior, the 2 hit it off and their scenes eat up precious screen time in what was meant to be an epic send-off for the long running series. As was the case with most season 8 story arcs, it ultimately goes nowhere beyond giving Vince something to do outside of forensics (which, frankly, was far more interesting).
