Doctor Who: 10 Timey-Wimey Episodes (Not Written By Steven Moffat)

5. Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS - Steve Thompson

A whole episode set in the TARDIS? How could it not be timey-wimey? Attacked by the salvage-hunting Van Baalen Brothers, the TARDIS crash-lands - and rips open a deadly time rift in the process. The only way to save it - and everyone inside - is to journey to the centre of the TARDIS (bet you didn't see that coming) and prevent the core exploding. However, time is leaking out and vicious time zombies are stalking the corridors... The time zombies, it turns out, are burnt-out husks of the Doctor, Clara and the Brothers, killed by the Eye of Harmony, echoeing back in time. However, thanks to the Doctor's insertion in his own past, from just before the rift occurred, and the aid of a 'Big Friendly Button', this timeline was unwritten. And, yes, this may be the cheekiest example of the 'reset button' ending ever seen.
