9. A Figure From The Future Gives Him New Lives
What if, a future Doctor gave his remaining lives to the current Doctor, in order to save him? It's a long shot, but let's look at the evidence; it's a tried and tested Moffat technique (River in 'Let's Kill Hitler') and he's already introduced the War Doctor and the Curator this year alone. It's the anniversary year a multi-Doctor moment wouldn't be out of place, and one that looks to the future would be appropriate to the next fifty years of the show. Admittedly, it's a plot that would've worked better in 'The Day of the Doctor', but assuming the '...of the Doctor' episodes are a trilogy, why not? It's mind-bending, but the idea of future/past Doctors visiting Eleven has been done to death this year. If Moffat's looking for one more of those moments, it could work, but assuming the Curator is the final Doctor, it would seem like turning the same trick two episodes running. Which leads me onto...
