2. Oh, The Possibilities...
We really hope there's a follow-up to the brilliant 'An Adventure In Space & Time'. Reece Shearsmith's cameo as the late great Pat may have been short but it was indeed sweet- and wouldn't it be great to see the Troughton era given the same treatment Bill Hartnell's just had? One of the best bits would undoubtedly be any scene in which Mr Shearsmith has to play the recorder. Worth watching in itself. Sadly a great many of the original stories in which the Second actually has a play are lost thanks to the short-sighted BBC of the Sixties and beyond wiping many of the master tapes- but if these lost moments can be recreated once again as Mark Gatiss did so lovingly for the Hartnellian years we could be in for a treat. Why wasn't the news that some 'lost' episodes of 'The Enemy Of The World' & 'The Web Of Fear' greeted with massed bow tied recorder orchestras? The idea might have been pinched from Monty Python & their coconuts (think of 'The Holy Grail'). It would have been an amazing spectacle!
